At Devi Health, explore your health potential with the remarkable tools of Asian Medicine and Tanuja as your supportive guide: Acupuncture: This centuries-old healing modality has many variations that have been developed all over Asia. Therefore, Tanuja can tailor her treatments to suite each client’s preferences and conditions. Some conditions call for the most gentle needling based on meridian theory or Daoist techniques, while others call for deeper acupoint needling based on what we call ah shi points and trigger points. It all depends on the requests and process of the client. All needling is done with sterile, individually wrapped, single-use, stainless steel needles which are safely disposed of after each use. Tanuja is certified in and uses Clean Needle Technique, and she works with each client to minimize discomfort while maximizing results. Chinese Herbal Medicine: The Chinese Materia Medica includes thousands of medicinal substances that have been used for centuries in Asian Medicine to treat acute as well as chronic conditions. Tanuja is dedicated to using organically grown Chinese herbs that are regulated by Good Manufacturing Process standards. While Chinese Herbal Medicine does utilize animal products, Tanuja works with vegan and vegetarian clients to ensure that their herbs are congruent with their values. Eastern Nutrition: Eastern Nutrition offers an exciting way to eat delicious meals with medicinal value. Tanuja loves cooking, and she guides her clients in creating exciting recipes and meal programs that will support the health work they are doing. If mastered, nutrition is one of the best ways to treat and prevent disease, and it does not have to be a bland, boring undertaking. Just ask Tanuja about her cardiac-healthy curry! At Devi Health, Tanuja uses the tools of Asian Medicine to work with each patient on a variety of levels: Physical: According to the theories on which acupuncture is based, pain results from stagnant and/or deficient Qi and Blood, the substances that animate, energize, and nourish the body. At Devi Health, Tanuja reestablishes that flow with Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, and Eastern Nutrition. Mental: Often the mind and body are at odds, but they are intricately connected and interdependent. Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, and Eastern Nutrition can ease depression and anxiety, reduce “brain fog”, increase concentration, and improve memory. Many often feel clarity of thought and presence of mind after a series of Acupuncture sessions, especially when Chinese Herbs and Eastern Nutrition are included in the treatment plan. Emotional: Unprocessed and unreleased emotions create stagnation, which may lead to emotional, mental, and/or physical pain. These emotions can be processed gently, released as the client is ready. Many experience a new sense of ease and a renewed sense of individual capacity after receiving Acupuncture. Chinese Herbs and Eastern Nutrition are also tremendously powerful modalities for supporting and transforming a client on an emotional level. Spiritual: No matter what your spiritual beliefs or even disbelief, Acupuncture often taps into and strengthens intuition, consciousness, and self-awareness in a personal, unique way. Tanuja draws from her life experience as she bears witness to your process of self-discovery and -acceptance. The bottom line is that you know your body best. Tanuja is excited to support you as you work to achieve your health goals. No matter what you are working on, she is dedicated to providing you with information and non-judgmental guidance. She will work with your current health providers to ensure that you receive the best, most sustainable health care possible.
